Here are a few things to think about when planning a site

1. What do you want your site to do? Is it an extension of your real world business? Will it contain a virtual store? Will it be a place for your customers to find answers?
2. How do you want to appear to the world? Branding is very important. Do you already have colors and branding that you use?
3. Have you already developed your business “niche”?
4. Is your site already online, but isn’t doing what you want it to do?
5. You already have a site online, but can’t change it?
6. Go surfing! Check out your competitors. Make a list of those things you like about their sites and those things you don’t like. It is a good place to start when thinking about a site of your own.
7. How many divisions or departments are there in your company?
